Dr. Raul Angeles, OD, is dedicated to exceptional healthcare for his patients. A graduate of The Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, he has made Alaska his home while practicing optometry. Before his career in eye care, Dr. Angeles served for seven years in the US Army Aviation, gaining valuable life experience in Alaska. Now residing in Palmer, AK, he enjoys life with his lovely wife and their five children, committed to improving the vision and well-being of his community.
Eye Exam? Do I need one?
YES! An eye exam is an amazing health tool! Not only can an eye exam address vision difficulties but it can also help identify and manage many health conditions. Diabetes, brain tumors, high blood pressure and more can be diagnosed and tracked through noninvasive methods with an eye exam.
What is Myopia?
Myopia is nearsightedness! It is easily treatable with glasses or contacts. Children should have an eye exam before starting school and every two years thereafter to catch vision difficulties that may cause them to struggle in school. Adults may experience headaches or eye strain if they have myopia.
